Health Insurance

The UTDT requires that all of its exchange and free mover students submit proof of having a comprehensive medical insurance valid in Argentina. This must be valid from the date of initial entry into the country until the last day of exams at UTDT. Without this document it is not possible to register at the University.

The deadline for submitting the proof of a medical coverage that meets all of the requirements detailed below will be 6pm on Friday, June 28. To submit the file, please follow the instructions available at the bottom of this page.

The health coverage must include all of the following items, as well as medical emergency services in the countries bordering Argentina:

  • Medical diagnosis and treatment;
  • Preventive medicine;
  • Hospitalization and surgery;
  • Mental health treatment (sessions with therapists, medication, and hospitalization);
  • First aid and transportation to a hospital or clinic;
  • Treatment of chronic diseases;
  • Paramedic services;
  • Medical evacuation; and,
  • Repatriation of mortal remains.

The University suggests the coverage provided by William Hope, as their company offers all of the above-mentioned services without deductibles or co-payments. It also includes dental care, discounts on medicines, orthopedic devices and visual aids. The cost per semester is USD 468.

To further learn about these services, see the QR at the bottom of this page and please contact Fernanda Sandez at [email protected] should you have any questions about them.

To hire the William Hope insurance:

  1. Complete and send this form.
  2. Within 72 business hours after sending the form, you will receive an email with the payment link.
  3. When the payment is processed (this may take up to 96 business hours), you will receive an email with the proof of coverage necessary to obtain the visa.
  4. Upon receiving the proof of coverage you may download the William Hope app, needed to use their medical services. You will receive the user card during the Orientation Program at UTDT.

Should you opt not to hire the William Hope services, the only alternatives accepted by UTDT are the ones listed below. Lower plans to the ones detailed will not be accepted.

If your home university requires you to purchase a coverage other than those listed above, before the deadline of the health coverage submission, the person in charge of mobilities at your university will need to send a letter to [email protected] indicating this.
